OUR MISSION

We want to do the best we can to help save the planet and encourage others to do the same. We have a vision to make the world a better place in many ways, and for everyone to live peaceful, stress-free, healthy lives. And to be happy! Simple things like riding your bike to work, going for a gentle stroll with a friend, reducing your meat and dairy intake, re-using your coffee cups and buying an item that plants a tree all contribute towards this vision and make you feel great too!

MINIMAL WASTE

Every year up to 150 billion items of clothing are manufactured and 60% is sent to landfill. All our products are built to last, which helps to take away from fast fashion, and are printed to order; we don’t hold any stock which helps to avoid any unnecessary waste. Our products are made in Bangladesh, and decorated here in the UK. We use water based inks in our digital, zero water waste print method, and these inks are also vegan. Our suppliers are also passionate about reducing their power consumption, CO2 emissions, water consumption and waste. Everything is decorated to order to minimise excess stock levels, and is sent out in 100% eco-friendly paper packaging which helps to keep our plastic waste to a minimum. TREE PLANTING

We plant a tree for every product we sell; we get so excited to see our little forest growing! When you place an order with us, you will receive an email with a link so you can plant your tree yourself in our forest and track it’s progress. You will be able to see whereabouts in the world it’s planted, and also see our carbon offset impact. Carbon offsetting is an internationally recognised way to take responsibility for unavoidable carbon emissions ... in simple terms, offsetting one tonne of carbon means there will be one less tonne of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere than there would otherwise have been. CARBON NEUTRAL DELIVERIES

By supporting the Acapa - Bajo Mira y Frontera project, we are proud to say we are carbon neutral on our deliveries! The project in Colombia was set up by the local communities who are the rightful owners of the territories to prevent deforestation, to repair the damage already done, and protect the old-growth rainforest on the land. Our contributions, which are based on the number of deliveries we make, help run the project and support the people that do so and help alleviate the pressures on the forest. Our support of this project is in addition to the tree that is planted for every item sold.

ETHICAL WORKING CONDITIONS

We feel very strongly that everyone should have access to fair and ethical working conditions, which is why we only use suppliers who conform to these regulations, such us Fairtrade. Fairtrade is a system of certification that aims to ensure a set of standards are met in the production and supply of a product or ingredient. For farmers and workers, Fairtrade means workers’ rights, safer working conditions and fairer pay. For shoppers it means high quality, ethically produced products. These are our kind of people!

CHARITIES WE PARTNER WITH

Research shows that when you go out into the world with your arms open, wondering how you can help others and what you’ve got to give that will benefit them, then this in itself can have a massive positive impact on your own mental health. We believe that the more you can do for other people the better, and this will also attract positivity, health and happiness into your own life. Alongside a great sense of self-esteem and self-worth, giving to charity will also help lower your depression levels and will positively increase your mood tremendously, due to the psychology of generosity. Studies have shown that giving money to charity has a positive impact on the brain, filling you with happiness and a sense of being grateful. These effects are like when you are giving a loved one a hug. We donate regularly to the following charities:

Friends of the Earth charity are part of an international community dedicated to protecting the natural world and the well-being of everyone in it. They lead campaigns, provide resources and information, and drive real solutions to the environmental problems facing us all. Our donations to Friends of the Earth Charitable Trust help them protect the well-being of people and the planet, including their work to fight climate chaos.

Mind charity provide advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem. They campaign to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding. They believe everyone with a mental health problem should be able to access excellent care and services. They also believe you should be treated fairly, positively and with respect. They campaign on a range of issues that could affect anybody with a mental health problem. This includes health services, legislation, protection of legal rights and employment. Our donations to Mind help to ensure they can be there - on the other end of the phone, in local communities and campaigning hard for better services and support.

Viva! is the UK’s leading vegan campaigning charity, specialising in undercover investigations and high-profile animal campaigns. Founded in 1994 by Juliet Gellatley, they have spent more than 25 years creating a kinder, more sustainable world for humans and animals alike. They have a great range of information and resources for anyone wanting to find out more about the vegan lifestyle, which we know has been really useful to us! They actively campaign on all issues relating to veganism — broadly covering animals, planet, health and lifestyle, and our donations help to fund this.

Give Back Yoga is a charity that helps to bring the therapeutic benefits of yoga to individuals facing illness and hardship, including cancer, mental illness, and incarceration. They work with local yoga teachers and healthcare workers to provide yoga to people in prisons, hospitals, and mental health centres. Over the past twelve years, they have trained over ten thousand yoga teachers and healthcare workers, awarded more than £300,000 in grants, and distributed more than 20,000 mats to kickstart programmes in communities where there are barriers to access health services. Our donations help more people access the therapeutic benefits of yoga by sending yoga books to people in jail or prison free of charge, provide specialised yoga classes for a cancer patient or survivors and help towards funding for free yoga mats to support not-for-profit community projects.

The Borneo Nature Foundation are a not-for-profit wildlife and biodiversity conservation and research organization that protects and safeguards tropical rainforests and the environment in Borneo. Every day, their team is working on the frontline to protect the last remaining rainforests in Borneo. They support and empower community-led initiatives to protect forest and wildlife, including anti-logging patrols, firefighting teams, environmental education, and the replanting and restoration of damaged forests. Our donations support this vital conservation work.
